Happy Halloween!

We started celebrating last night. I made canadian bacon pizza with dough made in my bread machine. It was really good. It was even better because it looked like a jack-o-lantern…or at least it was supposed to. I don’t know if you can tell, but he’s supposed to be sticking his tongue out.

Then this morning, I made Daniel peanut butter chocolate chip pancakes in the shapes of ghosts, cats, pumpkins, and bats. Daniel went to work all day and came back and we picked out pumpkins! So, of course, we asked the neighbors to come hang out with us.

Andy was so nice. He knew I didn’t like all the goo, so he was trying to take it all out of mine for me. Daniel wouldn’t let me get away with that, so I was goo-covered soon enough.

Daniel’s pumpkin was so much thicker than mine! It made for a lot more work for him!

But he endured. He worked very hard for a long time.

I worked, but finished pretty fast. Bet you’re wondering what we made…Just keep reading.

Daniel worked on into the night and finally finished!

So, we posed together with our beautiful creation.

Mine had to show how I feel about moose. Daniel’s is a pirate skull. He’s such a boy. They turned out pretty well, though!

We couldn’t leave our animals out of all of this, though! So…we bought them a pirate costume! Taco went first. He didn’t really know what to do with himself, so we managed to get a good picture. This is him saying, “Arrrr!”

Then it was Chance’s turn. He was less than thrilled. It didn’t help that we had bought an extra small costume and Chance is not an extra small. Now we know we can get them into outfits, though! This could just have opened up a whole new world of possibilities! :)

We bought 4 bags of candy. We had 4 trick-or-treaters. They didn’t even come to our house. We were walking the streets looking for kids to give candy to. It was sad.
