Saturday Catch-Up

This week, I…tried a new hole-in-the-wall diner that had the best biscuits and gravy ever and pancakes bigger than the plates, laughed when Boots attempted to protect me from the evil noises of the bread machine, played with babies in the church nursery, wrapped pepperoni and string cheese in biscuits, watched The Puppy Bowl with Daniel, Taco, and Boots (there may or may not have been dancing involved during the kitten halftime show), got a haircut that wasn’t much of a haircut at all, ran for a 20 minute chunk for the first time this year and felt fantastic, watched Boots refuse to get out of the Jeep for 20 minutes because apparently a drive to the gas station was not sufficient enough to fulfill his car-riding quota for the day, and savored a gorgeous Tucson sunrise.

I also…

went to a beautiful, water-filled park for a picnic dinner, which included pepperoni and string cheese sandwiches (don’t judge. It was spontaneous and we didn’t have any lunch meat!), got my first Valentine (a blister pack of peanut butter M&Ms!), laughed at Daniel’s professor’s footnote in their notes packet, fell more in love with our handsome pup, enjoyed the perks of being married to a pharmacy student (in this case, homemade cold cream!), enjoyed strawberry mochi ice cream, and made apple walnut cinnamon rolls for our first out-of-town guests.

And now, I’m off to enjoy a fun-filled weekend with our Albuquerque friends!
